Subject: You guys are so darn quiet! Don't make me start posting on the hum-drum of my life to get you started. LOL!

Just wanted to jump in and wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Today was the last time I shall have to hear the stinkin' alarm till January 9th. I think I shall pause and do a little happy dance around my desk.. .. .. twice.

I'm leaving this evening for Chicago - and home - and family - and old friends - and my hope is that all of you are feeling what I am feeling right now, this Season. Truly, it is a blessing. Oh, no, that sounds old. Am I speaking like an old person? Shoot. Party down, homies!

Anywho, I'll try and check in from Mom's but I will have to share the computer (and phoneline) with the masses. Twenty somethings suck. Teens suck. Tweens suck. The kids are pre-suckers. LOL! This woman who now lives alone in the middle of nowhere loves the chaos and noise...for a while. LOL!

And no I'm not ready to go. I'm at work - wasting time on the computer. Much to do before I leave for two 1/2 weeks. Haven't packed. Dishes in the sink. Load of laundry to do. Car needs an oil change. Somehow my brain has a glitch that thinks I'm supposed to have to do my own flying down the highway to get to the air-port, and then race down the concourse to catch a plane. It is what I must do. LOL!

You guys stay safe and take care!

[> Merry Christmas, Carrotts! Enjoy the holidays with your family, for that's the best that it gets (even with the teens and the twenty-somethings trying to hog YOUR computer time (and even when that computer time is on a dial-up, no less!)) Just remember, Santa will find you (even in Chicago!) and he knows when you've been bad (or good); so, be really "good" at being bad--and make it worth his while! -- Postrider, moving to an new ISP and warning everyone that contact might take awhile..., 11:45:59 12/19/06 Tue

[> Even *I* don't say "homies!" Carrotts, my dear, you crack me up! Glad you get to go home and visit family; that's wonderful. I just returned yesterday from a four-day Bahamian cruise, and it was wonderful. Midnight buffet, sunsets, plus the opportunity to play the part of royalty for an evening during the Captain's Dinner. Hated seeing the stupid port come into view on Monday morning... and the BF's whining about not wanting to go back to work didn't help. LOL! Anyway, I have a packed rest of the week, but my very best Christmas wishes to all of you! I love each and every one of you! -- DJEgirl, 11:59:13 12/19/06 Tue

[> Why is it Carrotts gets off for two weeks and DJEgirl gets to go on a cruise and I can't even get a fricking couple of days off? LOL. Evidently someone thinks that I have been very, very bad this year. 2006 has sucked, LOL. Pardon my French but I am ready to get this year over with! 2007 has got be better. I digress, here's to all my on-line friends - may your blessings be plentiful and your worries few, have a wonderful holiday season! -- janette, 09:03:46 12/20/06 Wed
