Subject: Creaker, I doubt that you are alone in feeling cheated. The only solace that I might offer is that I doubt if TPTB would have given us what we wanted IF the stars hadn't aligned just the way they did! IF DJE had stayed on board (through the miracle of a decreased salary demand and a DPB acceptance!) and IF the series hadn't been abruptly cancelled (ironically because of the ill-advised attempt to re-invent itself into NAVY, 90210), then maybe, just MAYBE,...>>>INSIDE>>>

...we might have had enough time to develop the H/M relationship the way you described...but, I doubt it. I think that TPTB, armed with an extension in the status quo, would have blithely continued on the path of "dating, without calling it dating" until Harm and Mac were seen to bump heads under the table one evening, awakened from their concussed blackouts, and disavowed knowledge of who each other was! Either that, or turn bald and gray right before our eyes, and at 84, go off to study Philosophy at Oxford on their honeymoon (Hugh O'Brien, anyone?).
