Subject: Potassium vs. Diuretics
In reply to: Katie 's message, "Please read this..." on 08:49:44 06/24/02 Mon

I am stuck in a rock and a hard place. I have Meneire's Disease which it has given me vertigo, tinnitus, and loss of what very little hearing I had left. I was put on Maxzide which slowed down the vertigo tremendously but it was draining my potassium.

The Dr. took away one, which by the way, I was taking two a day. The vertigo returned to me once or twice a month. It is really a difficult thing to have this vertigo.

Anyway, does anyone know just how much potassium one can take daily to prevent low potassium so that I can resume two dosage of generic Maxzide?

I would really appreciate any information.

Thank you,

Linda Lou Green
