Subject: Drama - can I ask where you got your name???

LOL is it just a coincidence that you call yourself Drama, or does it come from a lifetime of letting bad things get to you? I don't want to sound like I'm assaulting you in any way; please don't take it that way -- I like you and your input to the board very much. But I couldn't help but notice your nickname.

I know what it's like to let things get to you. I've done that for a good part of my life, and I still do to some extent. That's why it's easy to recognize when I see it. I'm not saying that what you've gone through the past few weeks hasn't been dramatic and unfortunate. I'm just trying to get you to take a step back and realize that "stuff happens" to us all.

We can't control most things that happen to us, but we CAN absolutely control how we deal with them. For example, I know when I step up to the plate and deal with things that are unpleasant or threatening to me in some way, I handle them effectively. When I put them on the back burner, they brew into bigger problems. For instance, getting back behind the wheel immediately might be a good idea for you. Don't let it freak you out so much that when you finally get back in the car, you are so nervous you can't drive. Things like that.

I feel for you and the misfortunes you've been going thru lately, and I can't say I blame you for blowing your diet. Sheesh! I think you're allowed on days when you've had a car accident! Just don't let it continue to plague you ok?

Hey P.S., don't feel so bad -- I started out my day of work on Sunday almost running over our police chief on his Harley. Oops!
