Subject: Today I ate rice!!! :-O .....

...but it wasn't my fault. I was held down by a little Japanese lady who shoved it down my throat. And then she insisted on buying me dessert, too! I waited until I got home and did some exercise (which is already getting easier, by the way) before I allowed myself to eat it.

Hi all--

Today was my lunch date with my new Japanese friend. Kel had suggested Teriyaki, but it wasn't on the menu, so I ordered something called Chicken Rice. It was one of the cheaper items on the menu. It was HUGE! I never saw so much rice on one plate. I ate about a cup and a half and doggy bagged the rest. I won't be eating it though, but I didn't want to leave all that food on my plate. Then the dear woman insisted on buying me dessert, so I got Cheesecake to go. The funny thing is, since I've gone low-carb, I haven't even been tempted to cheat. I feel so bad for those of you who struggle with it. If I was on a standard low-fat, low-cal diet, I'd be having a hard time too, but there are so many decadent things that are allowed on this diet that I feel no need to veer off course. Cream cheese has become my new best friend. And I had never tried SF Jello before Atkins, but I can't tell the difference from the regular stuff, and with whipped cream it's a treat.

If it wasn't for the high fat treats and the artificial sweeteners, I would have taken a trip down the candy aisle long ago.

Well, I think I'll go back on induction now, since I haven't lost in 2 weeks. I hope the exercise will help.

Keep up the good work, guys. Your determination is a real motivation to me.
