Subject: 10 Days to Goal

Okay I screwed things up earlier in the month, but I am determined to get maximum benefit out of these last 10 days in August. Yesterday, I did okay (even surprised myself lol), but I still have a long way to go to get to my August goal of 147. Today the scale is still showing 152.

It always seems to take a week or so to recover from a multi-day cheat. Often, 7 entire days will go by before the scale even moves. This is discouraging, but I'm ready for it. Hope it forgives me sooner than that, but if not, that's okay too.

I hope today shows me some excitement at work. Yesterday the only excitement I had was finding an occupied stolen car. That would normally be VERY exciting, but the driver looked to be about 90 years old - not the typical demographic for a car thief, so I immediately knew something was wrong. I ran the plate, and it still came back as stolen, so they sent 3 units and 2 detectives to intercept this old man. Turned out he was the registered owner of the vehicle; he had found it and never bothered to tell us it had been recovered. When we asked him why he replied, "I don't need no police." LOL, gotta love it.

Anyway, I hope today proves to be a little more exciting. When I'm kept busy, I don't think about cheating as much. Hope everyone has a great day!
