Subject: The new girl on the block

Hi all! I was searching the internet for a low carb lifestyle support group and ran across this one. Another reason I was searching online is because I have hit a plateau and am looking for some advise. I have been losing and gaining the same little pound for a few weeks now. I'm thinking of going back on the induction diet to see how things go.
A bit about me. I have been on the low carb thing for about 2 months and have lost 25 lbs, the most I have ever lost off ANY diet I would like to add. I weighed 215, and am now down to 190 and I eat an average of 15 carbs a day. I went from a size 20/22 to a size 16/18. It's a wonderful feeling!! I am a divorced/single mom of a 3 y/o girl, I am 26. I have a fairly active lifestyle....have to be active to keep up with a 3 y/o ;) My family has a strong history of being insulin resistant going back for many generations. My father has reached the point where he is type 2 diabetic with a heart condition. I do not want the same fate and decided to get serious about getting healthy....thank GOD I found the low carb diet!!
Right now, I am just frustrated that the weight is not coming off like it did in the first few weeks. I do not indulge on carbs, I have actually lost the craving for them for now...except ice cream, I'll crave that forever ;) I eat three squares a day with a little snack in between sometimes. I have been bad about drinking H2O. When I first started, water was all I would drink. Now I drink teas and diet sodas mostly. Does that have something to do with the plateau? I can't think of anything else I am doing that would cause this stall in my weight loss. oh, I did find these low carb chocolate bars by the name of "de-lite" they claim to have only 2.0 to 3.8 carbs per bar (depending on the flavor). I save one of these everyday as my after dinner treat. Has anyone heard anything about these? I would hate to give these up because this is the only way I get my daily serving of chocolate to keep myself from killing people ;)(they actually TASTE like chocolate) All you chocoholics know what I'm talkin about! Anyone have any advise that they would like to share? Sorry this is so long!

Thank you, Carmen
