I follow a moderate-carb diet that was developed by a local doctor here in So. Cali. His name is Dr. Douglas Markham and he was recently featured on the Larry King show along with the old tv show Dukes of Hazzard actor John Schneider. The website address to Dr. Markham's website is www.totalhealthdoc.com.

Basically, this diet is almost a carbon copy of Protein Power though. I eat like 40-50g carbs per day and I'm supposed to be eating 90g protein daily too, but I am too hungry for that (eating slightly more carbs daily creates more of a desire to eat than when on Atkins induction). Sooooo I usually end up eating anywhere from 120g-140g protein each day. I still lose 1-2 lbs per week when I am following my plan. Lately I've been blowing my plan; something I need to change immediately. I hate when I start to fall back into my old eating habits! Anyway, yeah there are a lot of LC plans out there -- choosing the one that's best for you is sometimes confusing. The library has lots of these books. I recommend checking out as many as you can, skimming thru them, and then going out and buying the one you think is best for you. Good luck!
