I really doubt if the puffiness was the weight training. Didn't you say that TOM was nearly here? I always get a little puffy then.

Consider this before you give up on your weight training. I was 'bad' (not low carbing) the entire month of July. Normally doing this would make me gain between 5 and 8 pounds, but because of the weight training I've only been up between 2 and 4 pounds from my lowest low last month (and this even during TOM).

Building muscle is a good thing. A very good thing. It keeps things stable, makes it easier to lose weight not harder.

Boycott the scale if you need to, but don't give up the excercise. Temporary puffiness (even if the muscle building is causing that which I doubt), is a small price to pay for the benefits that you gain. Muscle burns more calories, is smaller and more compact on your body, and helps you to keep from gaining weight even when you aren't being as good.

At least that is my experience.
