Subject: What happens to our metabolism? We stop being able to access as much of our Human Growth Hormone. That is the stuff that lets teenagers eat as much junk as they want and never gain weight. Protein Power explains how it works in more detail, but one way to get more of it is to lift weights and another is by getting a good night's sleep (without going to bed on a full stomach).

  • Try to drop the bars to occasional use only. The glycerine causes a lot of people to stall or even gain. There are a lot of recipes on the web for "protein bars" that aren't full of chemicals that will do the trick and not make you gain weight. (NT) -- Katie, 15:51:12 08/06/02 Tue
