Thanks for that info Shara, I always wondered why margarine was frowned upon by the authors of LC books. I'm a bit lactose intolerant and butter just contributes to this condition; it's good to have an alternative I can use. Thanks!

That's a good point to bring up. Margarines that use hydrogenated vegetable oils not only raise your "bad" cholesterol levels (LDL) , they lower the "good" cholesterol levels (HDL). Since this brand uses canola oil (canola and olive oils are best) and is not hydrogenated it should be good for a heart healthy diet.
