I started with a good 150 pounds I wanted to lose. I have a little less than a 100 I want to lose now, for one thing I changed my goal weight, for another I got a little below that 100 pound mark even if I had kept my original goal.

I've seen people with similar goals start where I'm at now and sail on past me almost to goal. For some reason I reached a point where I slowed down or nearly stopped losing. But then I made a few changes and started losing again (and keeping it off).

One of the changes I made is to start lifting weights along with (most of the time) the diet. Weight training is a fantastic way to help speed up the process. Women need muscle. Women need good solid bone mass. Weight training gives you both.

If you've never considered it I urge you to think about it. That way in addition to the weight you will be losing you will be gaining a smaller firmer more toned body.

Anyway welcome aboard. My first two weeks on Atkins I lost 13.5 pounds. I hope you do as well!
