Subject: Thinking of boycotting my scale again

My scale often discourages me. For example, there are days when you are good on your diet, and there are other days where you are super-good. Yesterday I had a super-good day, where there is NOTHING I did that was wrong; everything was right, even the portions of protein (which I have a problem controlling sometimes). Scale still shows 142.

I'm thinking of boycotting the darned thing for a week or two just so I don't get discouraged by it again. I woke up psyched to start the new 3-day challenge, and instead now I'm in the "why-bother" mode simply because of what the scale said.

I'm going to overcome this mood today though, because I know I'm doing everything right. Yesterday I did my weight-training at the PD gym for an hour. Today I feel all bloated and my rings on my fingers are strangling me. If it's going to make me puffy every time I work out, I gotta tell ya, I'm thinking of stopping the workouts. I don't like feeling puffy. I'm trying to do the weight training to HELP me, not make me retain water and feel bloated. What does everyone else do about this problem?
