Sherry, thanks for your response. According to the book, Eat Right for Your Blood Type, type A should be mostly vegetables with no beneficial meats and chicken being rated as neutral--not good for you, but not bad either. My reasoning is similiar to yours, if this is true, then why did I lose the 60 pounds so quickly in the first place. The only other factor I can recall was that during that first six months, I was on a prescription drug to lower my cholesterol, When I realized that Dr. Atkins warned against taking such medications while eating low carb, I stopeed taking the medicine. When I went for my checkup, my cholesterol had dropped to 157 from 235.
I really think the reason I do not want to go on mostly vegetables is that I enjoyed low carb so much and felt so good. This has been the only diet where I was not hungry or constantly thinking about food.

By the way, type O blood types do very well on protein and that is the most common blood type.
