I don't know about all this fancy-schmancy blood-type stuff, but I can tell you that God (or whatever creator you believe in), made humans to be BOTH herbivores AND carnivores. Meaning, for those of us who do not insist on trying to ignore or change this fact, we should be eating a selection of both types of food to maintain our optimum health.
You said yourself that following a LC plan drastically lowered your cholesterol, made you feel better healthwise, you enjoyed it, it helped you control your desire for food, and it allowed you to shed 60 lbs of excess weight. Ummmm, and your reason for NOT continuing is??
I am quite close to my goal weight (within 20 lbs), and I find it more difficult to lose now than I did when I first started. I'm lucky if I lose 1-2lbs per week -- and that's if I'm following my plan to the letter. If I don't follow it that strictly, then it takes even longer. Our bodies need time to adjust to losing weight so quickly. They also go into a mode where they don't want to shed weight because they are sensing there might be a problem in shedding too much (it's a built-in survival mechanism), and this is what causes plateaus and stalls. Good luck to you and I hope this helps.
