Ok you have been eating salad and low carb meal replacement bars? That is it? Where is the protein in all this?

Part of what makes this diet work is PROTEIN. It helps you to build muscle, so that when you do lose, you are losing fat but NOT muscle.

The bars are really not the best food to be eating. First off there are plenty of people who will tell you they "stall" on them. They aren't as low in carbs as they claim to be first off, and secondly they aren't really real food.

Start eating meat, cheese, eggs, fish. Salad is fine, but you really need food.

There are several possibilities, you could be retaining water due to 1) heat 2) hormones. Or you could be needing to eliminate wastes that are building up in your body. Sometimes this diet makes some of us a little constipated. If you are eating salads, that should help, but consider whether what you are weighing is perhaps not your body but food that hasn't passed out of you yet.

If that is the case buy some Psyllium husks (I get mine at the drug store in the brand called "PerDiem").

But consider too, could it be that TOM is nearly here for you? That can cause a little extra bloat. When it is gone you will likely have lost some extra weight.

But do try and eat real food. Forget the bars for awhile.
