Katie--

If you have your car paid off & both of your names are listed on the title as and/or, you can go get a new title & take his name off (at least in KS). That's what I did right before I filed for divorce several years ago.

If you aren't afraid about possibly confronting your ex, you could do as your dr suggested & contact one of those talk shows (like Montel maybe?) & tell your story to the world. I bet that would wake up your husband. You might even get a free divorce out of it. Never know. It wouldn't hurt to try anyway! Sounds like you married a winner just like I did. Luckily, almost everything of mine was in my name (he had horrible credit). Unfortunately, my daughter really is his & so I am linked to him for another 10 years at least. :( Good luck to you!!!
