You say you work out five times a week? Wow. Are you doing weight training every day? Do you vary the muscle group you work?

You probably know this, but to get the most benefit from weight training you are supposed to allow a day of rest between training sessions. At least if you are working the same muscle groups. The reason is so that your muscles have a chance to heal and grow stronger before the next workout.

I've only been working out regularly since the beginning of June. I lift weights for about a half an hour every other day, and my big tummy is already shrinking.

There are excercises that if done wrong, can increase the size of your abs. I forget what they are, but maybe (if you go to the gym and I assume you do) you can ask someone knowledgeable who is involved in training.

Sometimes the quality of the foods you eat have to do with what sort of weight you hold onto. I think I read that a high fat diet will keep you holding onto tummy fat. Maybe lower the fat a little?

Estrogen I'm sure has a role in the whole thing too, but most of us can't do a lot about that. I wish I knew what to offer, but I don't. Sounds like you are trying everything already.
