Subject: A little of this and that............

Just gave the kitties a catnip party. They're very content now. :)

Also just finished my housework and I need to hop in the shower. Getting a late start. Have to run some errands. Kitties need more food and litter. And I am hoping to get my hair done too.

I'm enjoying a very quiet vacation. For the most part, I'm just relaxing around the apartment.

Wednesday son and I drove up to Solvang. I've never been there. Cute little town. Visited a few shops and bought a few things. Left there and stopped at Goleta Beach. We ate at the Beachside Bar Cafe. Had their salmon. It was sooooo good. Had a wonderful view of the ocean. Was a very nice day.

Tomorrow we're going with Kathy and Kaila to the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Have never been there either. Looking forward to it. So its going to be an early bedtime for me tonight. Will have Sunday to recuperate before going back to work Monday. :)

Kate, imo, I truly believe that Shasta was letting you know that Abby arrived safely. Sending you lots of cyberhugs.

Sandy, so glad Travis is better and I sure hope Punkie has gotten her much needed rest.

V, hope you're staying cool and you're a/c is running again. I currently have my swamp cooler going. Don't want to see my electric bill this summer.

Before I go, here's a cute story. A big silver tabby, stray, likes to come on our porch in the wee hours. For about the past week or so I've been setting some food out for him. I gave him enough to last the whole day. I put the bowl on a rug out by my door.

When I would come home from work I noticed the bowl was always moved about 2 feet from the rug. Couldn't figure out how that was happening. I thought maybe a racoon was getting into the food. Anyway, I was home one day last week and heard the bowl rattling so I ran to my window to see who was doing it.

Two crows were trying to pick up the bowl. *LOL* So now I know who the culprit is(are). What little stinkers. :) Now I just leave enough for him to eat in one sitting and the crows don't bother the bowl anymore.
