Poor Ben and poor you! Thankfully, I've never had to deal with an abscess but my sister's cat once had one and that was bad enough. I wouldn't think it would have anything to do with his bladder problems although if an abscess gets bad enough, the infection can spread elsewhere. I'm glad they've got him on good antibiotics and aren't charging you for his care but Ramona, don't feel badly about being grossed out by this. Just give him some extra love when he's healed and believe me, he won't hold it against you. -- Piggy's Pad
