Subject: I'd bet that pound lost in 6 days had to be some of the fluid...don't you think?? I'm glad he seems to be better and hopefully the Vet was completely wrong about the tumor, but like you said, why scare you like that!!! I'm so glad to hear he is breathing easier...Believe me, I understand...the worst thing a person can tell me is "we'll have to WAIT and see" !!!!!
In reply to: D 's message, "Jaz is doing well, x-rays showed he has gotten rid of lots of fluid and I can barely see his sides move when he breaths. His electrolytes are all low so need to correct that, maybe that's why he is a bit lethargic. He'd lost a pound in 6 days! I'm sure he isn't eating as much as normal but how much of thatw as fluid, ? I don't know! I am to reduce his Lasix in half for one week, then to one shot per day for one week then go for another x-ray. IF there is a tumor hiding in there it's at the base of the heart cause that's the only part still covered by fluid. Vet wasn't talking tumor as much as he did the other day (why do they scare us like that?) but since labs are normal there isn't another cause showing up. So, meds and waiting...I'm so good at that! NOT!!!!!!!" on 6:10:27 pm, Thu, 12/27/07
