Subject: We all know that when you're dealing with a 17 =/- year old cat, any good, quality time is precious so Ken said that it so great to see ReRe feeling so good. At some point in the next couple of weeks, Chicory goes back to the vet for an all day stay so they can monitor his glucose levels and see if he needs some adjusting on the insulin. But for now, we're all doing the Happy Dance!! As long as Ken can get up in the morning, and Mom can pay the bill, all is well in the Sweet households. Cricket's doing very well too. He almost immediately developed a lump from his latest depo shot but it's a small one and the vet is giving the shot in a different place each time so we can keep an eye on those lumps. They do eventually go down and away so we're not too worried.
In reply to: Sandy 's message, "As for Chicory and Ken, they're both doing great. Ken's getting used to the idea that even on his days off, he's got to get up and get Chicory fed and then give him his shot. Even Jackie has been learning to give the injection! I haven't made it over to Ken's house to see for myself but Kenny said that Chicory is walking much better and can now make it from the kitchen, down the hall and to the bedroom without stopping to rest. He's even been playing with Endo (one of their other cats), which is something he hasn't done for several years. Chicory's water consumption is also down and they're watching the size of his "pee puddles" to make sure they're going down in size." on 12:47:55 pm, Tue, 01/01/08
