Good morning all! Nothing planned for today. I spent most of yesterday in bed with a headache and I'm scared to do too much and bring it on again today. It's COLD here. Like 5 degrees! The grandaughter that lived here last year was in a wreck last night. Her fault, turning a corner and slid into another car. No one hurt, thank God but I am so mad! She just doesn't get it. She's been driving for a whole 10 weeks now and of course, she knows everything at this age. Her mom heard her tell a friend that the other lady could have moved! She was at a stop sign! I hate when people of any age can't take responsibility for their actions and can't understand the conequences of their actions or see how they effect other people. We also learned of a meth lab bust just 3 blocks from us. Nice. Take care, stay warm and stay away from teenagers! -- Piggy's Pad

Oh, Denise..........not another headache! Is going to the chiropractor helping you at all?? We're a bit warmer than you (20 degrees) but from the weather report, this kind of cold is going to be what we deal with for the next 7-10 days. And it's this kind of cold that makes me tired of winter. As for the teenager, boy, I hear ya on that one. The nice, responsible teenager next door turned 16 a year ago and now we refer to him as "the idiot child." He won't turn on his headlights in the dark (and the car Mom and Dad bought him! is dark blue, he spins his tires in the snow and ice and drives way, way too fast all the time. I even caught him driving down the street and having his cousin jump on the trunk, at which point Cody hit the brakes so his cousin would slam into the back window!! I've tried talking to his mother several times, especially after I saw him race into their driveway and come within a breath of taking out their garage door, and she always says she'll talk to him. Dad is a complete asshole and has anger problems so I'm not going near him. Actually, they've filed for divorce but he's still living there!!! Anyway, I finally told him that when he kills himself, I'll be the first one to come over with a meat and cheese tray, hoping she'd get the obvious hint......but she didn't. He's always got his little brother (who's 14) or his sister (who's 7) in the car with him and I'm worried he's going to kill one of them. After the episode with his cousin, I tried talking to him and told him that if I ever saw him do something that stupid again, I'd tell his parents. It's really cold here today, I slept in a little and the temp is reading 7 degrees!!! Rick and I will really have to bundle up to go out in this I'm afraid!!!
