Subject: I know Kate! WHen my g'daughter lived here I started getting way more spam but with pop up blocker and 2 anti virus programs, firewall etc. I haven't had your problem for a long long time. I remember when it was pretty common for a site to lock you in and it made me so mad when i couldn't close the page and then got pop ups too. My antivirus runs every night now. Good luck with the new furnace! Glad the old one lasted for you!
In reply to: Kate 's message, "Boy-oh-boy.....we were googling the new furnace we are getting this afternoon, and Rick clicked on what looked like a very legitimate link..and all of a sudden the computer locked up, saying the website wanted to run something...well we didn't want it to run anything, BUT it wouldn't let us get out of the link or close up or anything...finally I got it to let me hit the "x" in the top right corner..then just as it was closing it up something came up saying the computer may have been infected with a virus...." on 7:24:13 pm, Sat, 12/01/07
