Subject: Thank you, Sandy! The vet called on Sat. and I think she is on top of it. She said we may have to use the Malaseb for a couple months 'til it's completely gone! I hope none of you *ever* have this problem! BUT it's mainly in kittens. I'm going to have the carpets steam cleaned, too. The spores can live in the environment for 18 months! I think as soon as her immune system kicks in, it will start to go away. It mainly affects young animals with an immature immune system, or people who are sick or undergoing chemo, or young children. Mike said, "Don't worry, one day they'll be 15 year old cats lounging around the house." That made me feel better.
In reply to: Sandy 's message, "Connie, this is something I've never dealt with but Vicki is a good source of information on this kind of thing. I do hope you can get it figured out and get your little babies treated so they get well." on 6:11:29 pm, Sat, 12/01/07
