Oh, this just bites!!! There's no two ways about this. And you're right.........who wasn't paying attention to Zeke's surgery site and didn't pay attention to the fact that there's a problem? Oh, I don't blame you for being royally p*ssed. And upset!! And poor Zeke - back in that cage. Hang in there, Denise, it will all work out somehow. I don't blame you for being so upset!! Obviously someone wasn't doing thier job to have missed this swelling!!! Poor Zeke..but , at least the introductions went well..that's a good thing!! Bet you can't wait to get him back home again!!!

Leon just remembered to tell me that Zeka had a fever of 105! Good Lord, this poor dog has been hauled around, met new people and dogs, been to new places and all along he was feeling lousy! I just sat here and bawled earlier, I feel so bad for him and so mad at the same time! Another thing, in the 13 days the vet had him, he lost 11 pounds! That's excessive and makes me even madder! A kenneled dog, no excerise and so little food that he lost that much?? I bet he was miserable! He needs to lose weight but with excercise and maybe 2 pounds a week! ggggrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! I looked up safe weight loss for a dog and it's 5-8% body weight per month. This would be 5-8 pounds per day at most! Called this morning, they gave me the vet to talk to. He says he will be talking to some of the attendants about his care and also wasn't happy with the weight loss. Will know later today if he can come home. (NT) -- D, 7:03:21 am, Thu, 12/06/07
