Kate, we'll be a bit pressed for time but I'll do my best to get down here and at least let you know what his glucose level was and where we stand now. I have to check with Ken but Chicory's appointment is for either 2 or 2:30 and that should take about an hour. Then we race home to eat a quick dinner and we're off for Advent services at church. Travis is acolyting and we don't want to miss that. By the time we get home, I'm sure I'll be worn out but if I can get Gerry off the computer, I'll post. The acolytes are two kids, usually 7th or 8th graders, who light all of the alter (and in this case, the Advent) candles before the service starts and then, at the end of church, extinguish all of the candles with those bell shaped candle lighters. It's a part of the service to the church he's performing to fulfill his requirements for confirmation in the 8th grade. As a part of his service to the community, he (and Punkie) have served meals at the Topeka Rescue Mission.
