Not much going on here, thank goodness, but a new medication is completely dragging me out. I'm going to finish what I have and then call the doctor and say "no more!" I can't live like this and don't want to. And since ultimately, what I take, medication wise, rests with me, this is one I don't want to be on. Kate, it was wonderful talking with you yesterday! I still haven't made a decision re: what we were talking about and really need to run it past Gerry anyway before I decide one way or the other. I just know I want to do "something." I'm still watching the coverage on the fires in California. Such horrible destruction and now I hear that at least two fires may have been intentionally set! My heart just bleeds for all of those people who have lost their homes and in many cases, only made it out with the clothes on their backs. I can't imagine being in that position. This is the Lyrica, Kate, that's originally for diabetic neuropathy but they found that it works for the all-over pain of fibromyalgia too. Unfortunately, for me, it's done nothing for my pain but has sure made my life intolerable by making me so tired, all I can do is sleep. To give it a fair trial, I'll finish the 13 pills I have left but then, that's it. No more. I'll be calling the rheumatologist next week and let him know that it's not working. In fact, I feel so miserable that I'm just about ready to quit taking ALL of my medication and see if I can cope. Living like this just isn't worth it. (NT) -- Sandy, 6:26:54 pm, Sat, 10/27/07
hardly seems worth it does it Sandy...if it helped with the pain maybe that would be a different story, but with it making you so tired and and on top of it not even doing anything to help aleviate the pain...I don't blame you one bit, I'd want to stop taking it too...let me know what your Rheumatologist has to say...I sure hope he can come up with something that will help with the pain but not make you feel so miserable...
