Subject: This was the nicest weather we've had for trick or treat in years but I just wasn't up for the doorbell so turned out the lights and stayed on the sun porch. My great niece and grandkids came by though. With all these dogs it can just be miserable having the doorbell rung over and over and I wimped out! I had a little girl walk right in once but it was cause she saw all the cats. She was only 3 or so...I'd expect a 6 year old to know better! Geez, an alarm. I'd never learn how to set it and would be setting it off and freaking everyone out! Don't you love it when cats are trying to move fast on hard floors? It's like a cartoon!!
In reply to: Sandy 's message, "We had a wonderful time last night. Ended up getting about 50 kids at the door and yes, we tried very hard not to hack, sneeze, blow or just plain germ away the kids. Most of them were so cute in their costumes. And the weather was perfect for Halloween..........chilly, windy but clear! Today, it's back to normal but it's sunny out and I think we had our first killing freeze. We'll have to wait and see on that but the water in my front birdbath was frozen this morning and that's actually the measure I use to gauge the temp - - - more so than an actual thermometer. We're supposed to get up to about 60 today and that's pretty normal.......and perfect." on 7:22:07 am, Thu, 11/01/07

  • We don't get trick or treaters here. I live on a busy street with no sidewalk or shoulder. It's kind of sad, but I go to my sisters and help her sometimes. Hope you are feeling better by now! (NT) -- Ramona, 7:27:40 am, Sat, 11/03/07
