Subject: Heck, Denise, we've even thought about the wood or faux wood blinds. The problem is that our living room and bedroom windows are doubles. To get that width is horribly expensive and also heavy. I've been using the quilts and shams because they were pretty, fairly inexpensive and very easy to toss in the washer when the edges became cathairlogged from the kitties poking their faces around the edges.
In reply to: D 's message, "I'm lazier now ! I've lived in places where I've done what you have, the curtain rings clipped to something other than curtains. I found cloth napkins once that matched placemats and used them for a valance. The blinds are nice but awful to keep clean too but cloth gets hairy and snagged...all this and didn't give you any ideas! LOL" on 3:16:51 pm, Wed, 11/07/07
