Subject: I'm betting that you'll have a wonderful time with your dad on Thanksgiving, Kate. Just treasure him while you still have him. I still miss my dad more every day and it's been a really rough several days around here. We were at the mortuary last night for visitation for a good friend who had passed away. Today, my sister called with news that a friend of my parents' had died and we got an email that a retired Coastguardsman and former co-worker of Gerry's died last night. Too many............too close together. But I'm trying hard not to let it get to me. I'm still thinking that we just have so much compared to so many and lots and lots of reasons to be thankful. Even the gluttony of eating all that turkey is something others may only dream about. But.........on a brighter note, if we do have to swim the turkey this year, we'll be sure to have the camera ready.
In reply to: Kate 's message, "It's hard to believe Thanksgiving is this week!! Can't seem to get that through my head....
I'll be cooking, it will just be my Dad, me and Rick..and Maggie and Josie of course!! **smile**
You've got to get pictures of the kitties watching the turkey swim!!!
