About a week before they had to put him in the hospital, he called a local surgeon at 2:00 in the morning just to tell him that his bowels weren't working...thankfully Dr. Joseph was very understanding but this shows that he is just not thinking clearly anymore....<br>so things at the office are just a little tense...not knowing if the can get him back home or not...knowing if the don't he is going to get very mean...but if they do, wondering how on earth they are going to take care of him.....So, when Karen is at w ork, it's been hard to get her to concentrate on the job..and that upsets Larry.....you know how that goes....so, like I said, nothing really major..just some real hard times for their family right now... -- Piggy's Pad

He lives at home with their youngest brother who has never been married. But Merle (the father) had polio when he was younger and can no longer walk or do much of anything for himself. I've been through this and believe me, it's no fun. All I can do is offer my prayers for the father that he makes some kind of recovery. But this kind of thing is so darn hard on the adult kids.
