Subject: He fell almost a month ago and he's still having problems with pain in his wrist. So.......sounding very much like me.........she asked him if he thought it would be reasonable to get his wrist Xrayed and make sure he didn't break something. I've told him that but he wouldn't listen so I'm glad he brought it up with her.
In reply to: Sandy 's message, "We talked about it. Since I'm not getting the kind of pain relief that I think I deserve, she mentioned trying the big guns......Oxycontin........a smaller dose but one that lasts longer. She said that the Hydrocodone only really last 5-6 hours and I'm expecting it to work for 12, which isn't working, of course. But I see the rheumatologist in three weeks so for now, we're waiting until I talk with him about it. Most of the time, although I just try to push through it, (if I'm really honest) I'm pretty miserable. And bless her heart, she says that there's no reason to live in this kind of unrelenting pain. It's stupid and is affecting my quality of life. So we'll see what the rheumatologist says and go from there. I'll see her again in 3 months but in the meantime, I've got blood work to get done. And she finally talked Gerry into getting an Xray of his wrist." on 2:14:37 pm, Sat, 09/22/07
