I once told my nephew's wife to be that if she wanted a really really nice gift from me for her wedding shower..then she wouldn't invite me..otherwise she'd get crap!! **grin** She didn't listen, but I got her in the end..the box she opened from me was "empty"!! That's kind of what Gerry thought too. After the diarrhea episode last week, I needed a real chance to just sleep. But also, with pool starting next Tuesday, this way, we don't have to worry about staying out late and then getting up early. We can sleep as long as the cats let us. You stinker!!! An empty box. huh? Well, you warned her. Actually, I'm not much of a shower person either and really wish I could skip it, but since I'm a co-hostess, I don't think that would be very nice. But this whole wedding started out as being very small and casual...........and once her nieces and one friend got involved, it's kind of exploded. I'm not saying that Janet doesn't deserve it. She does!! She's never been married before and I want to see her enjoy herself.. But it's gotten pretty expensive for me between shower gift, wedding gift, food for shower, her special garter and my clothes for the wedding. I really just want to see them married and happy.
