Thank you for asking Sandy....it's been a long long day with her....she hasn't thrown up today but had eaten very very little....we took her for a short walk (the best way to get her to go poop) and she did have a movement..it was a little runny but nothing too major, I was actually just happy to see her go because I was beginning to be afraid that maybe she was blocked or something....later on we tried to get her to eat..she would eat a biscuit like it was manna from heaven, but when we put food in her dish she just turned away....I tried feeding her one piece at a time and she would take a couple then that was it...... -- Piggy's Pad

so Rick and I got to thinking and decided that maybe it was the food...so I ran out to the store tonight and bought Purina One Senior Formula..and she dug right in like there was no tomorrow....
so, now we aren't sure if it was actually the food (did I maybe get a bad bag of IAMS???) or if she is just associating getting sick with the food....she did this to us once before years ago and I had to borrow food from Donna to see if Josie would eat it..and she did, so I had to change her food that time too....tonight she seems to be resting really well, she does have a touch (yeah right.. ...a "touch" is an understatement...) of gas but other than that seems to be doing ok...so looks like she is now on new food..... thankfully the carpet has cleaned up really well..I've got one spot that will need to be treated again, but other than that it all came up that you can't even tell...Thank Heavens!!! Glad she's eating....... Our puppy-school trainer breeds/shows black labs. She says when her dogs get a little older, she puts a Gaviscon in their meals... She said it's not unusual for them to have upset bellies as they age, and this cuts down on excessive acid. We keep Gaviscon and Gas X or Phazyme on hand for the dogs. Danes are prone to bloat/distortion, which can be fatal, so very imperative we keep the gas down for them! (NT) -- V~, 8:35:43 am, Thu, 07/12/07
