So you're a spice cake kind of gal too, huh? Oh, well. I think you and Gerry can keep that kind of cake, although he eats his with regular white frosting. But you brought back a wonderful and very tender memory for me. When we were kids and my Mom would make a layer cake, we kids would eat the inside areas of the cake first, leaving the long "L" part and the middle bar of the frosting until last. Dad would get upset at us so if he caught us doing that, his fork would swoop in and take the frosting right off our plates. Actually, he was very smart.......he'd get his frosting plus ours!! At the time, it would just p*ss me off but now, looking back, what I wouldn't give to have him here to snatch the frosting right off my plate. But you're right about the frosting being the best part. We even used to scalp our brownies and eat that frosting last too. Oh, yum. -- Piggy's Pad

So, Gerry goes "off-the-wall and orders spice cake ?? **grin** I love spice cake with Philly Cream Cheese icing!!!.... ask Rick, I always eat my Spice cake upside down.....I like the cake so I eat it first....that way I save the absolute best part the icing for last!!! I smoosh it onto the plate so I acually have to scrape it off!! **grin**
