Hey Kate...... tried to call. I feed Felidae, and there is a Feed Store that carries it about 20 miles from you. It's for all life stages...... seniors included. My cats are doing extremely well on it. If that is too far to go, I know PetFoodDirect.com has nutritional info for all the diff. foods they carry. It could just be that the Purina is more filling for her than the SD was. -- Piggy's Pad

I was feeding her Hills Science Diet for Senior but, of course, the only store around here that carried it only has it sporadically and I got tired ot being scared of running out, so we decided to change her over....Several weeks ago we started changing her over (very very slowly) to Purina One for Seniors. I got your voice mail Vicki..but I was at work and couldn't answer the phone....I ended up getting Hills Science Diet for Indoor Cats, Mature +7....she does seem to like it, but she is really acting funny tonight..she is eating it though, but she is obviously under the weather, she is not acting like she is hurting or anything, just like she wants to be left alone.... Can't imagine what is going on with her...but at least she does seem to like the new food...but she sure is acting finicky and grumpy tonight....we have to leave shortly to go into my Dad's..so maybe a little quiet is what she needs..right now she is upstairs in our attic way where she likes to hide when she wants to be alone....I hate it when they get this way...do you take them to the Vet or do you just wait-and-see...know what I mean?? Can you take her temp? If it's low or high, I'd get her into the vet. If it's normal (ranging from 100.5 to 102.5) then you could probably wait a day or two to see if it's just a little bug. Listen to her belly........ if there is NO bowel sounds (gurgles), then VET. If there are a TON of bowel sounds, then she probably has an upset belly, and you could wait a day or two. Are you still off on Wednesdays? If so, you might want to go ahead and take her in anyway.... just to be safe. (NT) -- V~, 3:13:41 pm, Tue, 07/24/07
