Subject: Hi everyone! Finally got a minute to post.....................

Lots of thing going on in my life that has kept me away. I miss you all though and hope to get on more frequently. I got a new internet carrier now and loved the speed at first, but it keep breaking down on me. It's through the cable, but our cables here are old and I have had many a fight over it with the cable company. I would go weeks with no interent service and then all of a sudden it would come on for a day or so and then go off again. But, as of thrusday, they started replacing all the cables so manybe now, I can get on and STAY on.

Lots new here, Neil is layed off but has a new job lined up for September. He only need to work 2 more years then can retire. He is waiting til September because on the 14th, his daughter gets another leg surgery, and will need lots of help. She will be layed up for 8 months with this one. Once they remove the old hardware and clean out the knee, she will be wearing one of those devices that stretches the bone for 8 months. Can you say PAIN??

I'm good, but got some disturbing news aboutmy eyes. I am starting with macular degeneration in my one eye and have had some real problems with my eyesight lately. Had to get new glasses and it's weird, but my eye sight changes daily. One day I need my glasses, one day I don't. One day I need just reading glasses, the next I need my astigmatism glasses, or one day none at all.

Benn working with a wildlife rehabilitator and learning a lot. We do a lot of injured animal transport. My husband has done a lot of that since he is home during the day.

Something else I am excited about, we are starting a no-kill movement for our area. We really only have one or 2 more shelters that are kill but we want to change that. We are also wanting to start a national movement. Anyway, they have asked me to design a brochure so I HAD to get my computer fixed. Hope I am up to the challenge!!

Talk about eyesight, my Julie has just be diagnosed with uveitis and she is also beginning to go blind. Like mom, like daughter, HA! Only 1 eye so far and only slightly in the other. This affliction usually indicates an underlying disease, like cancer or heart ailments, but I am not going to put her through anything right now. She has had enough challenges in her life. We also just brought Ben back from a week stay at the vet. He got blocked! Can you believe it happened again? Hopefully, he won't end up needing surgery so we are keeping our fingers crossed. Does anyone remeber his 'baby'? I had posted pictures of it years ago. It is a beanie baby that is black and white and is his baby! No-one can touch it. He feeds it, puts it in the litter box, puts it in the water bowl etc. IF you touch it, he will grab it out of your hands. Anyway, he went to the vet with it and those silly techs there made him into a sympathy kitty. He kept scooping it up into his e-collar to get it close to his face for snuggling so they gave beanie baby his own e-collar fashioned out of a styrafoam cup. THey even used gauze to tie it around it's neck. He got an IV in his arm, and he even got a catheter attached to a tiny zip lock baggie to collect it's pretend urine. Yes, they used real tubing! He got his name up on the board and was assigned his own doctor. They attached a calculator to the cage and ran the iv to it to make it look like the same thing Ben's iv was attached to. It was so freaking cute!!! They took such good care of us! I love them.

My sisters cat is in the hospital now too. She has saddle thrombo something. A blood clot in the part of the femur that goes to both legs. So she is back paralyzed. Her vet enrolled her in a study for this since my sister has no money to treat her. She gets free vet care and is haveing experimental water therapy. So far, FiFi is getting some feeling back in her legs. Buts still way too early to tell if she will live. SHe is only 4.

I hope you have all been well and that everything is going ok for everyone. I will try to read up on everything and see what is going on with you all. Hopefully, my cable will keep me going now.

Take care all, and MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
