Subject: Yeah, I hear ya. We are setting records here today too. I myself just got out of the pool. I can't beleive I got a sunburn after 4 o'clock! I'll just be working on that brochure and then to bed by 9. I think the heat is supposed to break tomorrow.

I was out this morning to clean the birdbaths, fill the feeders and water the flowers and within 10 minutes, I was a limp dishrag. After 30 minutes outside, all I wanted was to get back inside, take my clothes off and get a cold drink. Other than that, there's not much going on around here. The kids start school next week (Wednesday) and it'll be nice to see some kids outside for a change. I can't believe the difference from when I was a kid........we were outside no matter how hot it was. These days, you can't pull the kids away from their video systems. I literally can count on ONE hand the number of times I've seen the kids outside this summer. What's everybody else doing around here? Kinda quiet.   • It sure has been hot....I worked the WW meeting tonight and the only good thing about that was it was Air Conditoned!! I haven't been here much..it's just too hot sitting in this computer room right now..I've got the ceiling fan going but it's not moving much air I'm afraid!!!

  • Thanks for asking, Kate. Cricket is doing wonderfully!! He grumbles, stalks around the house and loves to come into the bathroom with me when I do my soaking. For whatever reason, he loves being petted with a wet, soapy hand. And after my shower, he goes into the bedroom with me to flop on the bed with the fan on to cool/dry off..........but he gets so excited over the smell of the soap, he drools. I've only checked his mouth once and that was about a week ago. It looked horrible, at least to me. All black and burnt looking. But he's eating well and playing so right now, I'm not too worried. But I do need to check his mouth again. The problem is...........we got him another depo shot 3 days before the laser surgery and the depo shots are usually good for about 3 weeks. So we have to wait and see if his mouth breaks out again at the 3-4 week mark. (NT) -- Sandy, 6:42:38 am, Thu, 08/09/07
