*quiet smile* It's not that much of a problem really. I'm simply requesting that her dragon be changed to a blue. We're stretching the canon-boundries of Anne McCaffery's realm with girls Impressing blues simply due to the large quantity of female roleplayers (and thus female characters) and the need for more then just green dragons in the Weyr. However, giving browns to girls would simply be too far of a stretch. I recognize that Ash came from another website, but at New Isle Weyr, the rules have always been Queen for girls, brown and bronze for males, blues and greens for both (except for a time when we went back to just greens and Golds for girls when copyright infringements were a concern). I simply cannot find any mention of a girl Impressing anything save greens and Queens in the books, and I'd rather keep the gift of a special hatchling for girls to the gold and the blues. A girl Impressing a brown is akin to a boy impressing the Queen... and I simply just don't feel like we can stretch Anne's guidelines that far. At any rate, with a blue Ash would remain quite special, and I'm willing to have the blue become as large as a small brown to cover for the change. Hopefully this agreeable with you.
