You're right, Kay. =D Atumi is Of Ana's Line, Tew is Of Kaili's. (Similarly, Erashun is Of Glace's.)

Redwood, being an Original, has A) an obligation to provide as many cubs as she can to carry on her Line, and B) doesn't die of old age, so she has plenty of time in which to do so. Korats in general are only such a successful race on Lavana (where they are "small" and "average") because, unlike most, they do make a point to choose mates and breed to continue their species. They're one of the most populous species on Lavana because of that instinct-common-sense combination.

And Redwood hasn't had that many cubs at all. Take Ana, the black Original - she's bred about every fifteen or twenty years on the average ... for the past, oh, four thousand years? (Korats came about approx. 3000 AC, After Creation, and "current day" is in the seventh millenium AC.)
