I do accept that the Larth-isms (great name XD) in the first few books are understandable - but it does somewhat annoy me that since (at least over here) the Pern books were released with pretty new covers, she didn't go through them and correct the things she said there that changed later. After all, Tolkein did that with The Hobbit after he published it first with a nice Gollum and then had to re-write parts to make the nasty Gollum of LOTR actually fit.

WOO! Someone else who thought that blues were the smallest!

I always wondered what happened to the whers in that book...oooh, can't remeber the name...it was set when the first settlers arrive on Pern, and Kitty Ping had to develop dragons for Threadfall. Anyway, I remember that her daughter made whers by accident, and when they hatched everyone was disappointed - but it never said what became of the people who tried to Impress them, and the whers themselves. Anyone know?

(By the way, what's with having to type in letters in a code every time I want to post?)
