I am not sure why Quilting B either, I can only guess that maybe you are a busy little "B" bee, lol

Catie it is called frames that the quilt is stretched on. Four of them but the first thing to go on is the backing for the quilt, and it is tyed on through the frame holes. Then comes the batting/filler of your choice. Then the quilt top. Me/Mil then saftey pin in down in many places, usually using about 50 pins. Then the strings are cut from where the backing was tied onto the frame and those are put away. She then put it into a big hoop and begins her handstitch work, until it is done all over, she uses differnt designs and many stiches depending on the pattern used for the quilt. Then she does a hem stich around the edge to finish it off. In her lifetime I would say she has probably done 100's of them.

Yes. I believe it is a dying art and not all quilt creations are created equal and I am afraid I have to keen of an eye and compare all I see to my MIl's, lol
