Subject: Inconsistencies

Howdy Ya'll,

I was just thinking and it seems to me that shows back in the day didn't take care of details that were mentioned in episodes beforehand. Why don't we open up a discussion (I like long posts!) about different inconsistencies in the Waltons that drives us batty.

Here are few off the top of my head.

1. In 'The Literary Man' in s.1 Earl says that the Waltons never see A.J. Covington again, although he does return in s.4 in 'The Abdication'.

2. Jim-Bob has two birthdays. One mentioned in 'The Runaway' in s.3 and the other in 'The Secret' s.4.

3. The get different actors for charachters all the time such as for Nurse Nora or Buck Vernon or even John-Boy.

4. Curt dies in s.7 and comes back (what was it?) s.9? (I haven't actually seen it yet.) AND THEN HE'S DEAD AGAIN IN A TV EPISODE!

5. Erin is 15 when Chad comes to Waltons Mt. in 'The Competition' in s.4, and yet she graduates the next year in s.5 'The Graduation' I think that was the episode. I just don't think she was like 'The Genius' (s.4) who was at boatwright university at the age of 16. Lol!

Countless others but I let them come in the replies!
