Rusty, my name is Mary Catherine. I go by Cathi around home, but that name was already taken when I began visiting this forum so I settled on Catie, a nickname from college. I was born in NJ, but got to Georgia as fast as my little feet would carry me. :-) (as a wee child actually) I lived in Florida 4 years while attending college. Otherwise I've made my home here in GA for over 40+ years. I am recently widowed after being married 30 years to the most wonderful man in the world, hands down. He and I visited the Hamner museum, home and are(were) major fans of The Waltons. My husband got me hooked on them long ago. I am a retired teacher (due to health reasons) and now write freelance when time and moods permit. I am the mother of 3 grown children, 1 daughter and 2 sons, a precious granddaughter, and one spoiled 3 year old Yorkie named Toby. My "real life" friend I met on the forum is Barb, from Canada. We are 3 generations of friends. Our daughters and granddaughters are the same age and are good buddies too. Of course there are plenty others that I am pleased to call my "real friend". There are so many great folks here. Also I have a website that was created, not to be in competition with Brenda, but when folks wanted to talk about other things too.
