Does anyone know if Fairfield University has an Irish Dance team/club? My daughter would love to continue dancing in a less competitive, more fun capacity.

How does it work? Are the first results given before the second chance competition? Competitions look a little close together for this to happen. I’m not complaining, just wondering?

SO the Murray Feis is open again - with no late fee? So really no incentive to sign up on time - just keep waiting because they keep extending the deadline....

We spent Sunday at the Lynn feis. We arrived at 1 and my son was scheduled to dance at 2:30. He didn't dance until 4:30. He wasn't doing the second chance. we had to wait even longer to get Awards which happened at 6:30. He medaled in his soft shoe and for a prize he got Ritz cheese and crackers. How cheap could they be. We spent a good portion of the day, paid to come to this feis and for all of his hard work he gets Ritz crackers for a medal round, come on!!!If you are going to give candy bars have enough so that the people at the end of the feis get something deserving for their efforts. It ran so far behind with the second chance. If you are not doing the second chance, you shouldn't have to wait around until that competition finishes before you get your Awards. Thank God he won his competition. Sadly, we are not going back.

Hi all, I just wanted to share because I know a lot of parents are thinking about the best way to make sure their dancers are getting the nutrition they need to grow healthily and be competitive. I work with a fantastic registered dietitian who is great with female athletes. As someone who is nutrition-knowledgeable and a fitness professional, I really appreciate her approach. She is great at providing guidance and steering girls away from disordered thinking, really understands the needs of competitive athletes, and keeps food fun and enjoyable. She's based in CT and also does video conferencing. I'd highly recommend her. I linked to her email in this post, but am happy to share more info with anyone who's interested!
