Author:
Purple Dress
[Edit]

Date Posted: 18:31:21 10/31/09 Sat

Beautiful Michelle Lewis dress, about one year old. It is a deep purple velvet with ivory bubble under the panel shirt. Lots of Swarovski crystals add great sparkle on stage. Shawl is soft, made of the same lace seen on collar and sleeves. Underskirt is a funky multicolored flower print! Comes with crown and bloomers. Great condition - there is wear on the bubble where it rubs against the panels, but it is not at all visible from stage.

Measurements: Length 31 - 32", Bodice 17", Skirt 14 - 15", Sleeve 23", Waist 26", Chest 30". Measurements are approximate, but should be really close.

More photos available on request. Asking $1200, shipping from Boston included.

Form for Beginners read "Has not taken Irish Dance lessons with a registered teacher prior to 9/1 of the previous year." - So, prior to Sept. 2008 my daughter did not take lessons - does this mean she should be in Beginner now and not Pre-beginner?? She's never danced at this feis before. Just wondering - at this age don't think it's a big deal but just wondered if anyone can interpret this rule for me. Thanks.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered before... I looked at the syllabus and couldn't find it anywhere... Just trying to figure out times for the upper gym and it would help me to know if dancers are dancing 2 or 3 at a time in champs - open and/or prelim. Also,if they are dancing 3 at a time, what age groups does that include? Thank you very much!

size 1.5 (US 4.5-5)Hullachan Soft Shoes (if new - $100)

I see that many people selling dresses are now advertising that they have received comments from judges on how lovely their costumes are. Dancers in our school order from all the time from Ireland, and although the dresses are "stunning", "spectacular", and "elegant", none of them have ever received a comment from an adjudicator about their costumes unless it was too short. Have you?

does anyone remember the discount amount if you ordered photos at the event? I am putting in the code (on their site it said: Because of the competition delays during the event, we will be honoring the "same day" discounted pricing until November 2, 2009. You must apply the discount code, FEIS2009 at checkout.")

How much are you supposed to receive off for the coupon? I am not sure it is working right.

Red dress
[Edit]

Date Posted: 19:27:28 10/26/09 Mon

Dress is just one year old & worn a maximum of 10 times. Bodice is red velvet with white embroidery and lots of large Swarovski crystals. Skirt is a 12 panel (6 in front and 6 in back) - white with red embroidery and polka dots between the panels, and also lots of crystals. It is very light to dance in because of the style of the skirt. Shows beautifully on stage. Excellent condition!

Measurements:
Total length (back) - 25 1/2"
Sleeves - 20"
Waist - 24"
Chest - 28"
Bodice length - 14 1/2"
Skirt length - 11"

Photos can be viewed at: http://www.tinysites.com/SitesPublic/AllSites/0/03/33/26/falveyfamily5536826/PublishPC/Index.htm

or email me & I can send photos if interested.

Asking $1800., shipping included, negotiable. Dress is located in metro Boston.

Just had my daughter try on her dress in prep for Sunday's Lenihan feis, IT DOES not zipper. We are in desperate need of a dress if not for this weekend than by the Oireachtas. I am putting four children through dance and do not have a lot to spend on a dress. If anyone has a dress that they think may work for a 5 foot 98 pound girl, I would be happy to talk with you. I have some rough measurements, Bust 32, waist 28 and hips 35 one arm span from shoulder to mid hand is 26 inches. Sounds crazy but I would appreciate anyone who may be able to help us out. Good luck to all dancers at feis's in the next few weeks and especially at the Oireachtas-thanks Please let me know what you are sellling your dress for.

"Eugene" is a very special (to us) wooden hanger that someone may have accidently picked up to hang their dress on. If you use a wooden hanger, please check to see if it has "Eugene" written on it in very light writing. Eugene came to the USA (via Sligo & Dublin) in 1955 and belonged to my ID's great uncle who fought for Irish Independance. I would be more than happy to pay for postage if you find it or meet you at the "O" to secure the return of Eugene to our family. Cash reward for anyone that finds/returns Eugene, no questions asked.

This tutorial starts with the basic descriptions of timing, and then matches timing to the tunes. There are some ideas about where people make mistakes identifying or following tunes, and ideas for better matching the steps to the music. There is a discussion on how to hear and anticipate phrases in dance tunes and a description of the Beat per Minute as it relates to dancers and musicians.

1 year old black/yellow-gold Siopa Rince bubble for sale. Dance again dress 910A

http://www.dance-again.com/X910.html

Will be at Lenihan and Coyle. DD has absolutely loved this dress and we have gotten great comments from parents and judges. Asking $1800 but open for discussion - especially if no shipping involved. Dancer was 10-11, but she is tall so would fit an 11-12 year old as well. Key measurements (of dress, dancer measurements about 1 inch less)- chest 28, waist 25. Length is approx 28 in back and 27 in front.
