Went to Barnard Castle, North Yorkshire from Buntingford last year and wanted somewhere to eat on the way. Well, these days it's service stations-incredibly expensive-or wait till you're almost there and you have a place called Quernhow where there's a great transport cafe.It's been taken over now with not such a great menu or service. But on the way up we sped by another one too quickly and can't remember where it was. We think it's about half way up and has a petrol station as well.
