Within an Hr. of responding to your posting Dennis,went up to bed.switched on the tele.Lo and behold ! there was Workington .The Docks the Quay,(six pubs along there,before
going over the Bridge in to Town).Showed adjacent Whitehaven
and nearby Carlisle. The programme was named"so you think you know who you are" the subjects family kept the Station hotel in Town. So there you are ,from the worst port to the Best.Were you The Chief Cook by any chance Dennis ? only
we had a Cook from Manchester, same name ,on one of them.
Made the best Salmon curry ever. the time gap between my November date and arrival Poti probably meant we did a short one previous to that ,Mellila or Bone to Irlam, possibly.
