des we havnt mentioned a lot of this cities contribution to the war inputs such as the cammell lairds shipyard turning out 100 warships many submarines including building the arc royal;rodney@prince of wales.also many merchant ships they where buildig ships at a rate of one every 20 days.during the may blitz of 1941 although liverpool docks where there main target 4000 people where killed and as many injured.10 000 homes completely destroyed.winston churchill moved the atlantic convoy control centre to derby house here in liverpool.there is lots more information as i am sure you will read in that book contributed bye this city.in churchills own words without the port of liverpool this country could well have lost the war.70 ships per convoy towards the end of the war sailed up@down the mersey i am a very proud scouser mate we certainly done our bit.as for the isle of rhum and hector this is the last time you will see me print his name,i have just googled the isle of rhum look whats come up?
